Tortoise Road Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Class
Learning to practice mindfulness provides a way of relating directly with whatever is happening in your life with more ease. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is designed to introduce ways to cultivate mindfulness.

$400 for entire programMBSR is a 30-hour program taken over 10 sessions or classes. Participants meet once per week for 2.5 hours. The program will start with an orientation, and there will be a day-long retreat on March 15. Learn more on the Tortoise Road website.

- Jan. 12: Orientation
- Jan. 26: Automatic pilot and the universal nature of habit patterns, the processes of perception and attention
- Feb. 2: Perception and stress psychology and physiology
- Feb. 9: Conditioning
- Feb. 16: Recognize the reactivities toward experiences and its automaticity, habitual physical, emotional, and cognitive patterns in reactions
- Feb. 23 Mindfulness-mediated stress response
- March 9: Mindful relating
- March 15: Day-long practice
- March 16: Interacting with the world, skillful choices, and self-care
- March 23: Mindfulness in everyday life
