Run, Hide, Fight: Important reminders for next week’s active shooter drill
Employees are asked to take drill seriously and respond like they would in a real situation.
Keeping our employees and patients safe in the event of an emergency is not something we take lightly. With this in mind, USA Health will conduct an active shooter drill on the Children’s & Women’s Hospital campus the week of Dec. 19.
Students and employees will receive emergency text messages and emails through the USA Alert system, but they must keep their contact information up to date. To update your information, follow these steps:
- Visit https://paws.southalabama.edu and sign in with your Jag number and password.
- On the first page, click the "Personal Information" tab at the top of the page.
- On the next page, click "View/Update USA Alert Contact."
- Check your information, make changes if necessary, and click "Submit."
Employees are asked to review the Active Shooter Policy [PDF] and
watch the informational video below to be reminded of the proper
procedures to follow in the event of an active shooter.
