Learn More: What to know about premiums and changes

USA Health employees can learn more about benefits and make changes to coverage at upcoming pop-up events scheduled through November at convenient health system locations.

“In keeping with COVID-19 guidelines this year, Human Resources wants to offer something different to say thank-you to our dedicated USA Health employees,” said Stephanie Williams, manager of benefits for USA Health. “Our benefits team is planning to travel to you.”

The pop-up events will allow USA Health employees to make changes, drop off forms and ask detailed questions about benefits. Employees also may submit forms electronically by emailing them to employeebenefitshr@southalabama.edu or dropping them off at USA Health Human Resources locations. Open enrollment ends Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 4:30 p.m.

    • Has it been a few years since you updated your beneficiaries for your life insurance?
    • Do you need to add or remove a dependent from your health and dental plan?
    • Do you need to adjust retirement withholdings for 2022? This also is an excellent time to set up a retirement plan if you do not already have one.
    • Do you need to renew your SouthFlex plan for 2022? Remember, this is the only benefit that must be renewed annually to continue participation.
    • Have you reviewed your benefit deductions on your PAWS account to familiarize yourself with your current benefits?
    • Do you need to update your address?
