Black History Month event to be live streamed Feb. 2
The event will include discussion and interaction, and will be live streamed to remote locations within USA Health and the University of South Alabama.
In celebration of the significant societal contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and to commemorate Black History Month, USA Health will hold a live-streamed event on Tuesday, Feb. 2, from 10 to 11 a.m.
The event will feature Errol Crook, M.D., USA Health chair of internal medicine and a member of the 100 Black Men of Mobile, and Brandon Fleming, the assistant debate coach from Harvard University who created the Harvard Diversity Project, a pipeline program that recruits 100 underserved students of color to take part in a summer debate internship. Since 2017, the students have been undefeated in international competition.
The event will include discussion and interaction, and will be live streamed to remote locations within USA Health and the University of South Alabama. The event also will be recorded and hosted on USA Health platforms for three months.
More information about the location of the remote sites and the address for the live stream will be in next week’s edition of Insider.
