Judy V. Blair-Elortegui, M.D., associate professor of internal medicine and pediatrics, and program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the USA College of Medicine, has been selected to participate in a national leadership program for graduate medical education leaders by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Blair-Elortegui will serve as a fellow in the ACGME Equity Matters DEI Leadership Learning Community, part of an initiative that supplies a framework for continuous learning and process improvement in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion, and anti-racism practices in graduate medical education.

The program’s Learning Communities are made up of national stakeholder groups from GME sponsoring institutions and programs, special societies and healthcare partners. During the 18-month program, the groups will identify challenges, implement change within their institutions and share learning across graduate medical education.
