Donate blood this week
Donors will have the chance to win raffle prizes such as a gift certificate or paddleball set.
USA Health employees have an opportunity to donate blood this week at a blood drive hosted by University Hospital and LifeSouth Community Blood Centers.
The “April Showers Bring May Flowers” blood drive is Tuesday, May 11, and Wednesday, May 12, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Toulminville Public Library at 601 Stanton Road, across the street from University Hospital.
All donors will receive a T-shirt and cafeteria voucher, and will be entered into a raffle to win a $50 gift certificate to Merle Norman, a $25 gift certificate to Red Beard’s Outfitter or a four-person paddleball set courtesy of Buckle.
Donors must be 16 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and show a photo ID. Those age 16 need written parental permission to donate.
