Reminder regarding educational benefits

Employees must submit a certification form to Human Resources no later than the first day of classes, Tuesday, Aug. 16.

Employees who wish to use educational benefits for eligible spouses and dependent children at the University of South Alabama must submit a certification form to Human Resources no later than the first day of classes, Tuesday, Aug. 16, to be eligible for benefits.

Tina Stalmach, director of human resources, benefits, stressed that employees must select the correct Educational Benefit Certification form according to type of employment. The forms can be found online here:

Employees who wish to take classes using the benefit do not have to submit a form.

To qualify for educational benefits, employees must be regular, benefits-eligible employee working .90 FTE or greater and have completed six months of employment on the first day of classes on the university academic calendar.
