Employee appreciation picnics planned

Separate events for day-shift and night-shift employees are scheduled at both hospitals on May 5 and May 6. Meals will feature hamburgers, hot dogs or veggie burgers with chips, a cookie and a drink.

In celebration of National Hospital Week, USA Health will hold employee appreciation picnics at hospital locations this Thursday and Friday.

Employees will be treated to a special meal featuring a hamburger, hot dog or veggie burger with chips, a cookie and a drink.

Children’s & Women’s Hospital will hold its picnic for night-shift employees on Thursday, May 5, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. in the hospital café. Employees from the hospital, the Strada Patient Care Center and the Mitchell Cancer Institute are invited.

The picnic for day-shift employees will be held Friday, May 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Children’s & Women’s Hospital courtyard.

University Hospital will hold its picnic for night-shift employees on Thursday, May 5, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. in the hospital café. Employees from the hospital, the Stanton Road Clinic, the Mastin Building, University OB-GYN and the Moorer Building are invited.

The picnic for day-shift employees will be held Friday, May 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the lawn next to the Mastin Building.

National Hospital Week takes place during the week of Florence Nightingale’s birthday – this year from May 8 to 14. The week was established by the American Hospital Association to highlight hospitals, health systems and healthcare workers who strive to save lives daily.
