
Ezelle named director of quality, safety
Prior to her appointment, Ezelle served in numerous leadership roles relating to healthcare quality. Most recently, she was director of quality management at USA Health University Hospital. She has also served as director of case management/social services quality at USA Medical Center and director of quality management at USA Knollwood Hospital.
Sharon Ezelle, R.N., M.S.N., CPHQ, has been named director of quality and safety for USA Health. In this new position, Ezelle will lead the organization’s departments and programs that are designed to support and improve both quality and safety.
“Sharon has extensive experience and leadership in the field of quality management,” said Michael Chang, M.D., chief medical officer for USA Health and associate vice president for medical affairs at the University of South Alabama. “In this new role, she will build and manage a comprehensive, integrated program for USA Health that supports our commitment and culture of quality healthcare and safety.”

Ezelle earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of South Alabama. In addition, she is a certified professional in healthcare quality.
