Hospital staff delivers four sets of twins in three days
USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital is the region’s leader in births.
Staff at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital delivered four sets of twins between Tuesday, Nov. 19, and Thursday, Nov. 21.
“It was an exciting time,” said Veronica Hudson, DNP, MSN, nurse manager for the Mother-Baby unit. “In the decade I’ve been working as the manager, I’ve never seen three sets of twins born in one day and four sets of twins in the newborn nursery at one time! We really had our hands full, but enjoyed every minute.”
All of the twins have been discharged from the hospital, according to Hudson.
Children’s & Women’s Hospital is the region’s leader in births, delivering more than 2,600 babies each year.
