T-shirts, tickets and more: USA Health Game Day FAQs
Planning is well under way for this popular event for employees and their families. We have answers to all of your questions, including how to purchase T-shirts.
This year’s USA Health Game Day is set for Thursday, Oct. 3, when the South Alabama Jaguars take on the Georgia Southern Eagles at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. T-shirts are available for purchase, and planning is well under way for the special tailgate event for employees and their families at the USA Health tent prior to the game.
Here are a few answers to Frequently Asked Questions about Game Day 2019:
How do I get tickets?
Online registration is open. Please register by Tuesday, Sept. 24, to receive your two free game tickets and two passes to the tailgate event. Online registration also is available at Human Resources offices at University Hospital and Children’s & Women’s Hospital. When you register online, you can choose your pick-up location. Free tickets and wristbands may be picked up on Friday, Sept. 27; Monday, Sept. 30; or Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Who is eligible for free tickets and passes?
USA Health employees, residents, fellows, University of South Alabama College of Medicine faculty members, medical students and basic medical sciences graduate students are eligible to receive two passes to the tailgate event and two free game tickets.
Where can I get a Game Day T-shirt?
This year’s shirt is a gray long-sleeve Comfort Colors T-shirt and will be for sale for $11. The shirts will be available for purchase starting Thursday at these locations during these hours:
University Hospital Gift Shop (cash only)
Monday through Friday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Children’s & Women’s Hospital Gift Shop (cash only)
Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Can I wear my T-shirt to work?
Yes. Employees are encouraged to wear the Game Day T-shirt to work on the day of the game.
Where are the seats located?
Free tickets will be for seats in Sections S, T or U on the east side of Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
What if I need more tickets?
Additional tickets nearby are available at a discounted rate of $10. To purchase these, call 251-461-1USA and provide your Jag Number as a USA Health employee. The ticket office accepts credit and debit cards. They can process payments as late as the day prior to the game and can provide printable e-tickets.
Additional tailgate passes are available for purchase for $10 at the USA Health tent.
Where is the tailgate tent?
The USA Health tent will be located near the southeast corner of the stadium.
When does the tailgate event begin?
Tailgating is from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m.
What’s on the menu?
The tailgate event includes barbecue catered by Sonny’s BBQ.
Where do I park?
A shuttle service is provided by The Wave Transit System and is available for $2.50 a person round trip. The shuttles begin running four hours prior to kickoff and continue throughout the game.
The Wave pickup location will be at the southeast corner of the parking lot of The Shops at Bel Air off Airport Boulevard, near the mall entrances at J.C. Penney and Target.
