Employees from across USA Health celebrated Halloween with creative costumes, scary decorations and pumpkin carving contests.
Some employees dressed up and visited Children’s & Women’s Hospital on Oct. 29 to take part in reverse trick-or-treating. The adults delivered candy to youngsters receiving infusions and to patients who didn’t have the chance to leave the hospital to celebrate Halloween.
In the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children’s & Women’s Hospital, parents were given colorful pieces of material to craft into tiny costumes for their babies.
Winners were named in contests for best costume, department decorations, and pumpkin carvings at several USA Health facilities.
The winners of the Best Decorated Department at University Hospital were:
- 1st Place: Medical ICU
- 2nd Place: CT
- 3rd Place: 8th Floor
The winners of the pumpkin decorating contest at Children’s & Women’s Hospital were:
- 1st Place: Surgical services
- 2nd Place: Santos Nuno, radiology clerk
- 3rd Place: PACU
The winner of the costume contest at Children’s & Women’s Hospital was the respiratory department.
