Holiday schedule announced for 2022-23

Employees who are not working on a holiday may take accrued and available PTO or take the day off without pay.

Published Jun 21st, 2022

USA Health has announced the holiday schedule for 2022-2023 and thanks employees for their input and feedback.

As a healthcare provider, departments in the health system may not be able to close on these holidays. Each administrator will decide whether a department will remain open on the holidays based on patient needs. The department will need to announce a closure as least one week in advance of the holiday.

As a reminder, USA Health no longer will require the use of PTO for designated holidays. Employees who are not working on a holiday may take accrued and available PTO for the day off or take the day off without pay by using code UTO on their timesheet.

If you have any questions or need more information, contact Andrea Rosler, M.S.H.A., M.B.A., SCP, chief human resources officer for USA Health, at arosler@health.southalabama.edu.
