Vrachalus retires from University Hospital

University Hospital employee Kathy Vrachalus has retired after 34+ years of service. A recipient of the 2013 Christie Miree USA National Alumni Association Outstanding Employee Award in the clerical category, Vrachalus has worked in the hospital’s clinical laboratory, accounts payable and patient access over the years.

She is known for championing blood drives and has volunteered during many employee events including the Dumas Wesley Toy Drive, the annual Employee Picnic and USA Health Game Day. Vrachalus said she has loved working for USA Health and will greatly miss those she has known over the years. “This place has been my heart for a very long time,” she said.
