MCI names employee of the month

Jazz Mamuscia, B.S.N., RN, clinical nurse supervisor in medical oncology at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, has been named employee of the month for November. Among the comments made about Mamuscia:

  • “Jazz is always looking out for her staff/team. She is compassionate, thoughtful and cares so much about us. She goes out of her way to help us when any issue arises.”
  • “It’s hard to think of something that Jazz HASN’T done for her employees and our patients. Jazz goes out of her way each and every day to provide the best care for all patients at the MCI. She has a positive attitude and is always willing to fill in where and when needed.”

 

‘Nothing Bundt the Best’ winner named

University Hospital selected Burl Sigler in Facilities as the “Nothing Bundt the Best” winner for November. The award recognizes employees of the month at University Hospital and Children’s & Women’s Hospital.

USA Health provides spiritual health resources to employees 

“Healthcare workers have to process and carry many emotions as they care for patients who are experiencing disease and traumatic events,” said Kim Crawford Meeks, manager of the Spiritual Care and Counseling Department. “Safe and sacred spaces to aid in the processing of emotions are vital to our health and ability to sustain this type of work.”
