USA Health Recognizes You: July 16
USA Health regularly recognizes employees for going above and beyond in caring for patients and providing high-quality customer service.
Lee receives DAISY Award
Shelley Lee, RN, a NICU nurse at Children's & Women's Hospital, was presented with a DAISY Award.
From her nomination: "She made the biggest impact in our lives. She treated my son like he was her own child. She demonstrates what a true calling is. She is kind, patient, and above all amazing. She shows up with an amazing attitude and dedicates her precious time with our little miracles. She's always helping her coworkers, while managing the most amazing care. I truly don't know how I would have made it out of the NICU without beautiful nurses like her. Her compassion and her delicate care helped my son tremendously through the last few months of our journey. We are forever grateful and thankful for Mrs. Shelley."
Martin receives Bee Award
Onieda Martin, CNA, from 6E at Providence Hospital received a Bee Award. From her nomination:
“Ms. Oneida always works hard. She makes sure her patients have what they need. I am always happy to know when she is here because I know she is going to do her best to care for the patient.”
“Ms. Oneida was precious, so very nice, helpful and caring. Does her job well. Always there when we needed something. Answered our calls quickly. She is an excellent nurse.”
“Onieda is a wonderful nurse with me and my son. Professional, Christian, knowledgeable, kind.”
Rodgers named employee of the month
Lisa Rodgers, RN, an oncology nurse navigator at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, was named employee of the month for June. Among the comments made about Rodgers:
“Lisa Rodgers is a busy nurse navigator, but you would never know this. She powers through difficult days without complaint. She serves in this role with a tremendous amount of passion and concern for MCI’s patients.”
“Lisa has graciously stepped up to assist with responsibilities within one of USA Health’s tumor conferences. This is not part of her ‘usual’ duties as a navigator; but she cares enough to make sure this conference functions as smoothly as possible until a replacement is established. She stepped up willingly and without hesitation, as she does in all aspects of her job.”
