Williams named employee of the month

Nadia Williams, who works at the front desk at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, was named employee of the month for September. Among the comments made about Williams: “She is very professional in every way and dedicated to her job and her coworkers. She always helps patients learn to navigate the system to make sure they are seen in a timely manner.”

Cheers for Peers winners named

Jessica Kruml is one of the Cheers for Peers winners for Children’s & Women’s Hospital for the fourth quarter. Kruml, who works in pediatrics, is pictured with Amanda Daw, pediatrics unit supervisor. Cheers for Peers is a program in which employees can recognize their co-workers for excellence.

“Healthcare workers have to process and carry many emotions as they care for patients who are experiencing disease and traumatic events,” said Kim Crawford Meeks, manager of the Spiritual Care and Counseling Department. “Safe and sacred spaces to aid in the processing of emotions are vital to our health and ability to sustain this type of work.”
