Suzette Saucier, RN, who works on the 11th floor of University Hospital, recently received a DAISY Award.

From Suzette's nomination: "Suzette was my girlfriend’s nurse for two or three days while she was in the hospital.... Suzette was caring and dedicated to her patients and their care. Suzette went out of her way multiple times to get [my girlfriend] her food and medications on time.... Suzette also had a student with her and included us in her lessons as she taught her student very well. Suzette also made sure everything was done before leaving. She cared for her night shift coworker and made sure [my girlfriend] was tended to before shift change."

Camelia Mudreac, RN, a labor & delivery nurse at Children's & Women's Hospital, recently received a DAISY Award.

From Camelia's nomination: "My wife and I were admitted on June 11 to L&D, unfortunately our child was stillborn the next day. As if that wasn't enough, we were back in HROB a couple of weeks later with an infection. I wanted to express my gratitude to the staff in L&D and in HROB. Throughout the experience both her and I were blown away by the care and attention we both received. The loss of our precious son has been devastating, but the kindness, attention, and encouragement of the staff was a source of comfort. While everyone was truly fantastic, Camelia Mudreac and Ashley (the other nurse with her) really stood out to my wife and I for their level of care, doing their best to put smiles on our faces during this time. These two absolutely deserve recognition!"
