USA Health recognizes you: October 8
USA Health regularly recognizes employees for going above and beyond in caring for patients and providing high-quality customer service.
Bendolph receives Employee of the Month Award
Mashayla “Shay” Bendolph, a medical assistant with USA Health Cardiology, was recognized as the department of internal medicine’s Employee of the Month for August 2024. She was recognized for her outstanding attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to assist patients and colleagues.
Bendolph considers working with patients the most important aspect of her role. “Just knowing you can make an impact on someone’s day and turning their day around from bad into good with just a positive attitude and a small conversation,” she said. “It’s rewarding knowing my time, effort and hard work actually make an impact on people.”
She also credits her colleagues for being a supportive team that push her daily.
Thompson named employee of the month
Taryn Thompson, PA-C, a physician assistant at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, was named employee of the month for September.
“Malignant hematology is an extremely challenging field with very complex treatments. Taryn has learned and earned the trust of everyone at MCI with her ability to absorb the enormous amount of knowledge that one must possess to ensure the best quality care is provided, as well as to work with multiple other specialties to coordinate immediate and urgent treatment.”
“Taryn is the heart of this team and coordinates with multiple providers, hospitals and co-workers to get patients admitted in a timely manner for induction chemotherapy. From that point on, she remains the quarterback of this team in managing all of the follow-up and ordering of complex labs and ensuring the highest level of consistency and quality.”
