USA Health employees who missed the deadline to get a flu vaccine have another chance to receive the vaccine this week. Although the deadline was Oct. 30, 2020, vaccine clinics are scheduled at USA Health University Hospital through Friday, Nov. 6.

It is mandatory for all USA Health personnel to have a flu vaccine or possess an approved exception as a condition of employment and access to patients. The vaccine protects against two Influenza A strains and two Influenza B strains, and is an especially important precaution to take this year because of the dual threat of flu and COVID-19.

Flu vaccines will be administered during the following days and times in the Employee Health Office, Room B95, at USA Health University Hospital. The vaccine also is available by appointment at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital by calling 251-415-1683. The vaccine is provided free to employees.
