The USA Medical Alumni Association has expanded associate membership eligibility to include all USA Health faculty and staff – no matter their alma mater.

As of Oct. 1, faculty and staff at USA Health can become associate members for $50 annually. Previously, only current or retired faculty and staff of the University of South Alabama College of Medicine were eligible.

“We are inviting our USA Health family to join us as we work to further enhance the MAA’s scholarship funding efforts while also acknowledging the major role that our health system employees play in training the doctors of tomorrow," said Leila Nichols, director of development, medical affairs and alumni relations. “From administration to environmental, it takes a village to teach and host our students.”

Benefits for associate members include:

  • USA Recreation Center membership eligibility for members and dependents.
  • Borrowing privileges at USA libraries.
  • Discounts off orders at USA Bookstore.
  • Special rates at The Battle House Hotel.
  • Discounts at Wintzell’s Oyster House.

To join as an associate member, contact the Office of Medical Alumni Relations at 251-460-6805 or [email protected].
