USA Neuroscience Symposium to be held this week
This year’s symposium will feature four guest speakers along with faculty members from the Whiddon College of Medicine.
The eighth annual USA Neuroscience Symposium will be April 14-16 in Pensacola. The program provides updates on important topics in neurology and addresses clinical competencies of knowledge, performance and improving patient outcomes. All healthcare professionals are invited to attend.
This year, the symposium will feature not only faculty members from the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama but also four additional guest speakers:
- Christopher H. Gottschalk, M.D., F.A.H.S., professor of neurology at Yale School of Medicine, chief of the division of general neurology, and director of the Yale Headache and Facial Pain Program
- James F. Howard, Jr., M.D., F.A.A.N., professor of neurology, medicine and allied health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, director of the Myasthenia Gravis Clinical Trials and Translational Research Program
- John Soltys, M.D., autoimmune neurology fellow at Oxford University
- James Rini, M.D., assistant professor of neurology at Ochsner Medical Center
