USA Health Magazine highlights the programs, research and, most important, the people who make up University Hospital, Children's & Women's Hospital, Mitchell Cancer Institute, the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, and USA Health's numerous outpatient facilities.

In this inaugural issue, readers will learn about a gynecologic oncologist who hosts a podcast that seeks to demystify cancer, the Bridge Program for families preparing for the loss of a child, a medical student who uses mixed martial arts to empower women, a local family who found lifesaving care for their daughter, an anatomy professor who completed 51 marathons during and after treatment for leukemia, and an employee whose surgery gave him a renewed passion for life.
