New process for submitting USA Health contracts

A new process for submitting contracts will allow for a more efficient tracking capability and administration of the Contract Approval and Tracking System.

USA Health Contracts Administration now is reporting to the USA Health Legal Department. All future contract submissions should be emailed to USAHealthcontracts@health.southalabama.edu. The purpose of this process is to establish a database for contract submissions only, which will allow for a more efficient tracking capability and administration of the Contract Approval and Tracking System.

“This will make it easier for Contracts Administration to serve you,” said William B. Grete, chief legal counsel for USA Health.

The following is required when uploading contracts:

  • One contract per email
  • A completed agreement checklist
  • A business associate agreement if protected health information will be accessed (USA prefers vendors use the USA BAA.)
  • A notarized state of Alabama disclosure statement vendor disclosure statement (for contracts in excess of $5,000)
  • Any terms and conditions related to the contract (Docusign or online applications terms and conditions should be downloaded from website.)

Failure to provide the above information/documents may delay contract processing.

If your contract submission is urgent, select “high importance” and state the nature of the urgency and deadline date with the agreement checklist. All contracts will be processed as quickly as possible.
