What is your job title and what does your job entail?
I am the health system pharmacy compliance manager. My job includes overseeing the health system’s drug diversion program as well as the 340B drug discount program. I am responsible for making sure the health system is compliant with the federal regulations and requirements related to the program.

What is your favorite or most rewarding part of your position?
The most rewarding part of my job is when I am able to provide education to different departments on how the 340B program helps our patient population.

What originally made you want to join USA Health?
I had graduated from the University of South Alabama and was working for another hospital pharmacy. I wanted to gain knowledge with compounding and IV mixing. University Hospital was hiring at the time for a pharmacy technician level 2 position.

How long have you been with USA Health?
I have been with USA Health for nine years.

What has working with USA Health taught you?
How each department functions as an integral part of the patient care team.

Do you have any goals that you want to achieve in the health system?
I would like to get into a senior leadership position as well as work on getting an MBA in the future.

What is your favorite hobby or pastime outside of work?
Finding new places to eat around town.

Do you have any advice to give to people who want to work in the health system?
Have an open mind when it comes to working in the health system, and take every opportunity that is given to you.
