What is your job title?
I am a pharmacist with MCI’s specialty pharmacy, so I am responsible for filling and counseling patients who are on oral oncolytic therapy, as well as all medications for management of their associated symptoms. We also serve fellow employees and patients who have medication needs for other health issues.

What is your favorite or most rewarding part of your position?
The best part about my job is the patients. Their health journey is tough, so I love being able to connect with them.

What originally made you want to join USA Health?
I worked for many years in a retail pharmacy, and I was looking for a more emotionally rewarding opportunity. When I found this job that serves our cancer patients, it was perfect.

How long have you been with USA Health?
I have worked here for three years, since this pharmacy opened.

What has working with USA Health taught you?
Working with USA Health has taught me to appreciate and work with a diverse community with diverse needs. We work with patients from all walks of life, and so I take care to ensure that each and every patient receives the same top-quality care and attitudes from us.

Do you have any goals that you want to achieve in the health system?
Just remaining happy in my career.

What is your favorite hobby or pastime outside of work?
I love spending time with my family.

What advice would you give to people who want to work in the health system?
When you apply to work with us, make sure you’re prepared to be a team player!
