What’s your job title, and what does it entail?

I’m the clinical nurse supervisor for medical oncology at the Mitchell Cancer Institute. I supervise the day-to-day workings of medical oncology clinics and the staff that makes these clinics run.

What is your favorite or most rewarding part of your position?

My favorite part of my position is being able to help others – patients and staff included. Our patients are usually facing their hardest times; so being able to put a smile on their faces is the most beautiful thing.

What originally made you want to join USA Health?

I initially wanted to join USA during a time when I was personally affected by the kindness the staff provided during an intense and traumatic situation.

How long have you been with USA Health?

I have been with USA Health for six years.

What has working with USA Health taught you?

Working at USA Health has taught me a lot about myself, and being in oncology specifically is a constant reminder to be grateful for each day.

Do you have any goals that you want to achieve in the health system?

As far as specific goals, I just want to be a part of making things better in all aspects.

What is your favorite hobby or pastime outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to go to the beach with my son, Maverick.

Do you have any advice for people who want to work in the health system?

My advice for anyone who wants to work in the health system is to get started today. We are a big family, and our mission every day is to help people. It’s just that simple.
