What is your job?
It has changed so much since I started at USA Health. I was hired as a staff pharmacist and worked in the pharmacy department for many years. After a while, I was given the opportunity to move into an administrative role working with drug studies. Currently, I am a member of the administrative team for the pharmacy department and help with work flow, drug studies, implementation of new projects and procedures and, most recently, our transition to our Alaris Smart Pumps. During the pandemic, I also have been a part of the USA Health Pandemic Response Team.

What is your favorite or most rewarding part of your position?
The best part is when I'm able to see a project through from start to finish and the positive impacts that were made from it. The most rewarding part of my career to this point has been the Pandemic Response Team.

What originally made you want to join USA Health?
I was a pharmacy technician at USA Health during pharmacy school, and Mobile is home for my husband and me. After completing my residency, I was so excited to get back home and become part of the team at USA Health in a new role.

How long have you been with USA Health?
14 years

What has working with USA Health taught you?
Pharmacy is a small world. Pharmacy is forever changing, as is the healthcare system as a whole. Learning to grow with the change has been invaluable.

Do you have any goals that you want to achieve in the health system?
To continue to move pharmacy out from behind the walls of the department and get pharmacy involved in other aspects of patient care.

What is your favorite hobby or pastime outside of work?
Family, friends and fitness!
