Employees celebrate Christmas in July
The holidays will be here before you know it, but employees across the health system celebrated early as part of July’s employee engagement activity.
Some suggestions included having an out-of-uniform day, decorating cookies, playing Dirty Santa, or getting creative and having fun. Many clinics enjoyed the opportunity to dress festively, have a party or exchange gifts.
Stanton Road Clinic and Internal Medicine held a work scavenger hunt and awarded prizes for best costume and scavenger hunt winners.

Employees spread summer joy to group homes
Last year, health system employees shared Christmas cheer with residents and local senior living facilities. But with the Christmas in July celebrations, it seemed appropriate to wait to spread a little joy.
Summer joy card-decorating kits were provided to practices, and participating clinics and departments could choose where they were delivered.
Family Practice Associates shared cards with Mobile Nursing and Rehab, and Providence GI delivered cards to the Mulherin Home, which offers long-term care for people of all ages with congenital developmental disabilities.
Providence GI staff, along with their intern, Matysan, from the PASSAGE USA program, worked many days coloring cards and writing notes on them. They even laminated cards and pictures of the staff to send.
“Now my staff has decided to go back on a monthly or bi-monthly rotation moving forward,” said Diana Enseroth, manager of practice operations for the clinic. “They fell in love with the residents. We are planning our next trip to do an ice cream party for the residents one afternoon.”
