USA Health was in the news recently related to the Mapp family donation and COVID-19.

The council will be open to current and former patients and their siblings who range in age from 14 to 19 years old. To be eligible, a patient would have been hospitalized during the past four years, beginning in August, 2016.

USA Health University Hospital was named a high performing hospital for the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) in the latest Best Hospitals 2020-21 rankings and ratings from U.S. News & World Report.

The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment to ensuring heart failure patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines founded in the latest scientific evidence.

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion has identified 14 areas of focus that are significant in addressing injustice within the context of training future physicians and scientists.

In an effort to maintain a safe working environment, USA Health employees are being provided two cloth face masks.

All five of the new residents were highly sought after by the top surgery training programs in the country. One of the surgery residents is also an Olympic athlete who holds the current NCAA record in the hammer throw.
