Due to the significant growth in our patient volume and ongoing construction, the number of employees, vendors, contractors, and student learners have all increased accordingly, causing parking issues for all involved.

The goal of these changes is to provide parking access for all individuals who need it, understanding that decisions will be made to prioritize the closest parking to those who need it most, our patients and their families. Employees, providers and/or students are not allowed to park in any visitor/patient/emergency vehicle designated parking space at any time while on duty at USA Health. Duty is defined as being compensated or receiving educational credit for time at the hospital or patient care campus.

Beginning Feb. 1, 2023, these changes will directly impact those who park at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital, the Strada Patient Care Center, the Mitchell Cancer Institute, and University Hospital.

USA Health security will monitor the parking areas to ensure that patients and their families can park closest to their care areas and monitor parking areas for security.

  • First Offense: Warning issued for parking violation.
  • Second Offense: Car will be booted and unlocked with payment of a $25 fine.
  • Third Offense: Car will be booted and unlocked with payment of a $50 fine – employee’s written warning.
  • Fourth Offense: Car will be towed with retrieval fee paid by the car owner – employee’s final warning.
  • Further Offenses: Car will be towed, and employee will be separated from employment.

The safety of our employees, students and patients at USA Health is a priority, so we’ve taken numerous measures to ensure you have a safe commute to your destination including additional lighting, security measures, and additional shuttles to navigate between campuses and designated parking areas:

We understand that provision of parking is a challenging assignment and all personnel involved with monitoring and enforcement are fellow employees. These employees pledge to deliver and are likewise deserving of professional communication, understanding, and adherence to policies. USA Health has a duty to review these policies prioritizing patient needs first and all other needs to follow.
