Care access associates celebrated during Patient Access Week
Care access associates coordinate patient communications and manage their overall healthcare experience – a crucial role affecting the quality and availability of care.
The USA Health Physicians Group recently recognized the efforts of the health system’s care access associates during the National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) Patient Access Week, April 2-8.
At USA Health, volume has steadily increased in outpatient settings, which means care access associates are fielding more telephone calls and face-to-face interactions with patients and customers.
NAHAM annually raises awareness and celebrates the contributions of patient access professionals during the week. Established in 1982, Patient Access Week is held during the week including April 5, the anniversary of NAHAM’s founding. The organization is the only national professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence in the field.
