
USA Health revises some policies, adds new ones

USA Health has revised several policies and introduced new ones to address topics ranging from visitor masking to community clergy. Staff are encouraged to review all policies in USA Health Policies / Regulatory & Compliance, which can be accessed through the USA Health Employee Hub webpage.
A few of the changes include:
- Visitation regulations: Masking requirements for visitors have been removed.
- Visiting guidelines for community clergy: A new policy sets forth guidelines for members of the clergy who are visiting the hospital.
- Rapid response visitor: A new policy outlines procedures for providing any visitor, employee or outpatient who may unexpectedly require medical care with the opportunity to be evaluated, triaged and managed appropriately.
- Workplace violence: The definition of workplace violence was revised to include any act or threat occurring at the workplace that can include any of the following: verbal, written or physical aggression; threatening, intimidating, harassing or humiliating words or actions; bullying; sabotage; sexual harassment; or physical assaults involving staff, patients or visitors.
