Lee receives DAISY Award

Frances “Frankie” Lee, a nurse navigator at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, was presented with a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. One of the nominations stated: “Frankie has a way to motivate staff with her positive energy and respect she gives to everyone. She is responsive to the needs of others and is always willing to help.”

Wilson named employee of the month

Marissa Wilson, a USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital nurse working in medical oncology at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, has been named employee of the month for July.

USA Health provides spiritual health resources to employees 

“Healthcare workers have to process and carry many emotions as they care for patients who are experiencing disease and traumatic events,” said Kim Crawford Meeks, manager of the Spiritual Care and Counseling Department. “Safe and sacred spaces to aid in the processing of emotions are vital to our health and ability to sustain this type of work.”
