Demming named Employee of the Month

Khristina Demming, a medical assistant in neurology, was named USA Health Physicians Group’s Employee of the Month for November. Demming is known for her ability to find common ground, solve problems and make sound decisions. She is considered an expert on pre-certification and prior authorizations for neurological diagnoses.

Terry O'Neil, director of operations for neurosciences, nominated Demming for the award. "Khristina is hard working and dedicated to the patients of neurology," O'Neil said. "She has the ability to take constructive criticism and turn it into an opportunity."

Hale recognized for excellent care

Melissa Hale, a fourth-floor night nurse at University Hospital, was recognized three times in a month for the excellent care that she provides

USA Health provides spiritual health resources to employees 

“Healthcare workers have to process and carry many emotions as they care for patients who are experiencing disease and traumatic events,” said Kim Crawford Meeks, manager of the Spiritual Care and Counseling Department. “Safe and sacred spaces to aid in the processing of emotions are vital to our health and ability to sustain this type of work.”
