Jackson named DAISY Award winner

Joi Jackson, a nurse in the Mother-Baby unit at Children’s & Women’s Hospital, was presented with a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award honors the superhuman work nurses do for patients and families every day.

Bradshaw named employee of the month

Kelly Bradshaw, a charge nurse in the NICU at Children’s & Women’s Hospital, has been named the employee of the month for February. She was recognized for her patient- and family-oriented care. Among the comments about Bradshaw: “She consistently offers help to the staff while retaining a great rapport with everyone from custodial (employees) to management.”

USA Health provides spiritual health resources to employees 

“Healthcare workers have to process and carry many emotions as they care for patients who are experiencing disease and traumatic events,” said Kim Crawford Meeks, manager of the Spiritual Care and Counseling Department. “Safe and sacred spaces to aid in the processing of emotions are vital to our health and ability to sustain this type of work.”
