Parrish named employee of the month

Carlisse “Sallie” Parrish, a medical assistant who works at the Mitchell Cancer Institute – Fairhope, has been named employee of the month for January. Among the comments about Parrish: “Carlisse is a team player and a hard worker.” “The patients just love her, and she is always calm under pressure.”

Taylor named Kudos winner

Rachel Taylor, a registered nurse who works on the third floor at University Hospital, was named the Kudos winner for November. Taylor was recognized three times during the month for providing great care.

USA Health provides spiritual health resources to employees 

“Healthcare workers have to process and carry many emotions as they care for patients who are experiencing disease and traumatic events,” said Kim Crawford Meeks, manager of the Spiritual Care and Counseling Department. “Safe and sacred spaces to aid in the processing of emotions are vital to our health and ability to sustain this type of work.”
