Smith named employee of the month

Renee Smith, a nurse who works in the infusion suite at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, has been named employee of the month for May. Among the comments made about her: “Renee Smith is a nurse’s nurse. She is a professional and knows her job well. She ensures orders are complete and appropriate.” “Renee has true ‘Southern charm’ and is dedicated to the care her patients receive. Her great sense of humor eases their fears and makes patients feel at home when they are getting their infusions.”


USA Health Recognizes You: Donna Minor

Minor named employee of the month

Donna Minor, a ward clerk in the pediatric intensive care unit at Children’s & Women’s Hospital, was named employee of the month for May. Minor was nominated for always having a positive attitude and for being willing to do whatever her nurses and team need to make sure the unit is running smoothly.
