Nolan named employee of the month

Jennifer Nolan, R.N., a nurse in the obstetrics evaluation center at Children’s & Women’s Hospital, has been named employee of the month for September. Among the comments about Nolan: “Jennifer goes above and beyond to provide great care to every patient.”

Walsh named employee of the month

Lynley Walsh, R.N., clinical nurse manager of gynecologic oncology, has been named September employee of the month at the Mitchell Cancer Institute. Among the comments made about Walsh: “As working supervisor for GYN oncology, she is constantly juggling clinic patient responsibilities as well as administrative duties. She does all of these things and so much more with patience, efficiency, kindness and preciseness.” “She is the epitome of the mission of MCI.”

USA Health provides spiritual health resources to employees 

“Healthcare workers have to process and carry many emotions as they care for patients who are experiencing disease and traumatic events,” said Kim Crawford Meeks, manager of the Spiritual Care and Counseling Department. “Safe and sacred spaces to aid in the processing of emotions are vital to our health and ability to sustain this type of work.”
