Pediatric ED wins Most Consistent score

The pediatric emergency department at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital has won the Most Consistent HCAHPS score based on a national, standardized survey of patient perspectives, the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey.

The pediatric emergency department maintained an overall rating of care above the 75th percentile for three months. Staff will be recognized with a prize patrol, media recognition, light breakfast and a drawing for a $50 gift card.

PICU wins Most Improved score

The pediatric intensive care unit at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital has won the Most Improved HCAHPS score based on a national, standardized survey of patient perspectives.

The unit had the highest percentage increase for overall rating of care from the previous quarter to the current quarter. Staff will be recognized with a prize patrol, media recognition and a light breakfast.

USA Health provides spiritual health resources to employees 

“Healthcare workers have to process and carry many emotions as they care for patients who are experiencing disease and traumatic events,” said Kim Crawford Meeks, manager of the Spiritual Care and Counseling Department. “Safe and sacred spaces to aid in the processing of emotions are vital to our health and ability to sustain this type of work.”
