The USA Health Integrative Health and Wellness Program is broadening its cuisine offerings this spring with hands-on cooking classes that focus on Mediterranean, Sicilian and Tex-Mex dishes.

Multiple sessions of each class will be offered at the teaching kitchens at the Mapp Family Campus in Fairhope and University Commons in Mobile.

USA and USA Health employees and their dependents on USA Choice, Select and Consumer health insurance plans are eligible to take four classes for $10. For the public, and those not on specified health insurance plans already mentioned, the classes are $30 each.

One additional demonstration is scheduled at the Commons in Mobile on Thursday, April 24, from noon to 1 p.m. focusing on yoga and mindful eating. Demonstrations are $5 for employees and their dependents with USA insurance plans or $15 for community members.

Classes may fill up quickly, as a number of USA Health and USA employees have already been taking advantage of this benefit. Learn more about what dishes will be prepared and sign up for classes.
