USA Health hosts 34 teen volunteers for annual summer hospital program

This summer, USA Health Volunteer Services welcomed 34 teen volunteers to two of its hospital campuses.
At Children’s & Women’s Hospital, volunteers spent time in the pediatric tower interacting with patients and their families during a special summer camp. At University Hospital, teens shared treats and other items from the jolly trolley and helped in patient access, where patients are admitted.
“Teen volunteers often play a crucial role in supporting patients, visitors, and staff in our healthcare facilities,” said Rebekah Blanchard, director of volunteer services for USA Health. “Volunteers are at the heart of what we do, and this is a wonderful opportunity for young people to have a new experience in a healthcare setting.”
After the teens contributed more than 1,000 volunteer hours this summer, they celebrated the end of the annual program with a party at Top Golf.
