Several toy drives organized throughout the health system are accepting new, unwrapped toys to give children a better Christmas.

Several toy drives across USA Health are accepting new toys for children during the holidays:

Mitchell Cancer Institute

The Mitchell Cancer Institute is collecting new, unwrapped toy donations for Toys for Tots through Thursday, Dec. 7. Look for collection boxes in the lobbies on the first and second floors. Contact Helena Davis at maittidavis@health.southalabama.edu for more information.

Providence Campus

Providence Gastroenterology is accepting new toy donations for Toys for Tots through Monday, Dec. 11. The location is 6701 Airport Blvd., Suite A101, on the second floor.

USA Health

USA Health is hosting its annual Dumas Wesley Toy Drive until Tuesday, Dec. 5. Each department is asked to set up donation boxes and send their donations along with one representative to the following sites on Collection Day, Tuesday, Dec. 5, for courier pickup:

  • Children’s & Women’s Hospital loading dock, 9 to 10 a.m.
  • UHOP ground floor lobby, 11-11:30 a.m.
  • University Hospital shipping and receiving, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

To schedule a separate pickup time, departments can contact Dumas Wesley directly at 251-479-0649. The Dumas Wesley Community Center’s Annual Toy Store provides struggling families with the opportunity to purchase new toys at a fraction of the retail value.
