In this role, Kyle Rogers, R.N., will oversee USA Health’s transfer center, and handle responsibilities such as physician referrals, bed control, transport and emergency management coordination.
Kyle Rogers, R.N., has been named USA Health’s transfer center manager. In this role, Rogers will oversee USA Health’s transfer center, and handle responsibilities such as physician referrals, bed control, transport and emergency management coordination.
“The transfer center, through referrals, brings patients to USA Health from facilities that don’t have the specialty care we provide as an academic health system,” Rogers said. “The advanced care found here at USA Health improves outcomes for the most acutely ill patients in our area.”
Rogers earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Spring Hill College and worked at several local hospitals before joining USA Health. He initially was drawn to the system by his family members, who already worked here and spoke highly of the positive environment. After joining, Rogers said he agreed with their sentiments.
“I am so glad I found a home here at USA Health,” he said. “I truly love the team aspect we have here. Every department works so well together, with a common goal of providing patients with advanced specialty care not found elsewhere.”
His other roles at USA Health included being a staff nurse in the STICU and, for the past three years, a clinical administrator at University Hospital. During his time as a clinical administrator, Rogers became acquainted with the after-hours referral process and got an extra glimpse into the treatment opportunities that USA Health provides its patients. His new position piqued his interest because of the job’s focus on expanding USA Health’s outreach through referrals.
Rogers also will be USA Health’s emergency management coordinator. In this role, he will assist in plans and procedures for disaster preparedness and be a communicator for the health system during disasters.
“I am always looking for personal growth and taking on new responsibilities, which allow me the chance to prove my capability as a nurse,” Rogers said. “Nursing has afforded me so many different opportunities in the medical field, and I am blessed to be in such a versatile profession. “
