Trick or Trot 5K and Fun Run set for Friday, Oct. 18 on USA campus

Proceeds from the run support renovation efforts of the region’s only Pediatric Emergency Department at Children’s & Women’s Hospital. The 5K will start at 6 p.m. The fun run begins at 7 p.m. and is open to walkers and runners of all ages.

The seventh annual Trick or Trot 5K and Fun Run for USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, on the campus of the University of South Alabama in Mobile. 

Participants of all ages are encouraged to run in costume for this evening of family fun. Post-race activities feature trick-or-treating, inflatables, food and fun with pumpkins in the grassy area near Moulton Tower.

Race Facts  

Distance: Certified 5K course on USA Campus. Fun Run is approximately 1 mile 

Awards: Top male and female Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters, and Race Walker. Top three male and female in age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70-99. 

Post-Race Party: All registered racers will have access to the post-race party. Sponsor tents, jump houses, music, photo booth, pumpkin decorating, food, drinks and trick or treating. 

Wristbands: If you are not a runner, you can purchase a wristband for the post-race event on Thursday at the CW Cafeteria or at the main tent day of for $5. Early packet pick-up is strongly encouraged. You can pick up your race packet Thursday, October 17th from noon to 6 p.m. at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital Cafeteria on Center Street in Mobile.
