USA plans pep rally for United Way campaign

Under the banner “Leading the Way: Team Up for Change,” United Way of Southwest Alabama is calling on the University of South Alabama and partner agencies to huddle up and rally together.

University of South Alabama and USA Health employees are invited to join an ultimate kickoff event as United Way of Southwest Alabama launches its 2024 campaign with a high-energy community pep rally on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 4:45 p.m. at the Moulton Bell Tower on the USA campus.

Under the banner “Leading the Way: Team Up for Change,” United Way of Southwest Alabama is calling on the University of South Alabama and partner agencies to huddle up and rally together. With the Jaguar Marching Band, USA cheerleaders, SouthPaw and Miss Pawla leading the charge, this campaign season will kick off strong — like a team poised for victory.

USA Health provides spiritual health resources to employees 

“Healthcare workers have to process and carry many emotions as they care for patients who are experiencing disease and traumatic events,” said Kim Crawford Meeks, manager of the Spiritual Care and Counseling Department. “Safe and sacred spaces to aid in the processing of emotions are vital to our health and ability to sustain this type of work.”
