University Urology expands with the addition of new urologist
Lisa Bailey, M.D., was attracted to USA Health because of its expanding outreach and educational programs.
USA Health is expanding its team of physicians with the addition of Lisa Bailey, M.D., a new urologist at USA Health University Urology. Bailey, who is accepting new patients, will diagnose and treat urologic conditions such as stone disease and cancers of the urinary system. She also will assist in women’s health issues and vasectomies.
Bailey was attracted to the region’s only academic health system because of its expanding outreach and educational programs. She also hopes to participate in the development of a urology residency.
Bailey grew up in Double Springs, Ala. She earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2007, graduating magna cum laude. She went on to earn a medical degree from the UAB School of Medicine in 2012.
She completed a urology residency and general surgery internship at the University of Kentucky in 2017.
