USA Health Laboratories now is the primary provider for lab work at our outpatient practices.

Published Nov 10th, 2020

With the goal of providing faster lab results to patients, USA Health Laboratories now is the primary provider for lab work at our outpatient practices.

“LabCorp has provided a valuable service over the years to our physicians and our clinic patients,” said Alice Johnson, assistant administrator for USA Health. “This transition will enable us to utilize the high-quality laboratories already available at University Hospital and Children’s & Women’s Hospital for our clinic patients.”

Rather than being sent to LabCorp’s laboratory in Birmingham, Ala., the lab tests now will be performed in the hospitals’ laboratories.

“The USA Health Lab advantage to patients is that they will receive their lab results faster than in the past for many lab tests,” Johnson said.

Employees and patients can go to any of these USA Health Laboratories patient service centers to have lab work done, if they have an order from a physician:

  • University Hospital Main Lab: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Children’s & Women’s Hospital: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Strada Patient Care Center: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Mastin Patient Care Center: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Stanton Road Clinic: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Digestive Health Center: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Center for Women’s Health: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
