What can we do better? USA Health wants you to have your say
USA Health will gather this feedback through an employee opinion survey to be conducted online beginning Monday, Aug. 17, and ending Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Building off the momentum from its initial employee engagement survey in 2018, USA Health is again asking to hear from you.
“The people who work within our organization are the best ones to tell us how to become an even better organization,” said Owen Bailey, MHA, FACHE, chief executive officer of USA Health. “The openness we saw in the last survey allowed us to make improvements in several significant areas. I look forward to seeing the results of this year’s survey so that progress can continue.”
USA Health will gather this feedback through an employee opinion survey to be conducted online beginning Monday, Aug. 17, and ending Tuesday, Sept. 8. All USA Health employees will receive an email containing a link and instructions on how to anonymously complete the survey, which again will be administered by Press Ganey Associates.
The employee survey conducted about two years ago resulted in positive changes for the health system, including the implementation of executive rounding and daily safety huddles to increase communication, Bailey said. USA Health also launched a weekly internal newsletter, the USA Health Insider, to keep employees up to date on health system news, new hires and employee recognitions.
“When we conduct these surveys, the results don’t get put on a shelf,” Bailey said. “We recognize that many of the best ideas for improvement come from those on the front lines.”
Bailey emphasized that responses to the survey will remain confidential. Press Ganey will receive and protect the response data, sharing only anonymous results with health system leaders, he said.
As a thank-you to employees who complete the survey, USA Health will provide vouchers for a cookie that can be redeemed at the hospital cafeterias.
“I would like to personally invite everyone to share their concerns, suggestions and ideas by completing the survey,” Bailey said. “I look forward to hearing what you have to say.”
