USA Health nears 50,000 vaccines given, appointments available this week
Healthcare workers remain eligible for the vaccine, and on March 22, those 55 and older and those 16 and older who have certain health conditions, including pregnancy, became eligible to receive the injection.
With more people than ever eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, USA Health continues to encourage our staff and the public to get the shot as soon as possible to protect yourself, your colleagues, patients and those you love from contracting the virus that has claimed nearly 550,000 lives in the United States.
“With those 55 and older and others with chronic health conditions now able to receive the injection, we are prepared to give up to 1,500 vaccines a day at the Mobile Civic Center,” said Natalie Fox, D.N.P., chief nursing officer for USA Health Physicians Group. “We want to vaccinate as many people as we can as efficiently as we can.”
